Yun-Ping Zhou, MD, PhD

Dr. Yun-Ping Zhou is an experienced physician scientist (MD, PhD) with decades of comprehensive experience in discovery research, clinical development, drug safety, and regulatory interactions at MSD. He is dedicated to advancing innovative, patient-focused therapies through rigorous science, strategic insight, and collaborative execution. He possesses a unique blend of deep scientific expertise in diabetes and obesity, with over 40 peer-reviewed publications, due diligence, business development support, and scientific leadership involvement. Most recently, Dr. Zhou served as an Executive Director of Drug Safety at Merck Rahway, NJ, where he led a team of clinical safety and risk management experts. This team supported the clinical development, benefit-risk assessment, NDA/MAA submissions, and lifecycle management of a wide array of marketed and investigational products in Infectious Diseases and Vaccines.
